I spent 2 enlightening hours with Derek Gordon, VP Marketing of YieldSoftware.com today in San Mateo, CA.
Derek was very compelling in his concise articulation of how keywords in the age of citizen-journalism and how bloggers can be high volume for “momentness” – a moment that makes their blog or twitter very popular. We spoke about how Twitter really gets into how people are feeling in real time and the challenges that marketers have in being prepared to have markeing messages ready for “the moment”. I certainly agree that the “moment” for publishers today can make people a lot of money or they can miss the opportunity. This happens on YouTube with breakout viral videos getting 20M views and also on Twitter accounts – particularly those which break global news stories. Have you considered your moment?
